When should I pump my septic tank? - Executive Plumbing Lincoln, CA

Answer

Um, I have a septic tank and it's been four years since I've pumped it. Should I check it before? Should I pump it before winter or spring? I think um you should definitely pump it before winter gets all the way here.

Um especially with the spill fields and everything when there's a lot more ground water um it could get back into your system, especially if it's full. You don't want to contaminate too much. Um I would just say pump it. If you know it's been four years, that's quite a long time. Um usually a good range to pump your septic is anywhere four to five years. So after four years you're thinking about getting pumped, just get it done.
